Owner Sam, and her family, started their journey in Terling back in 2019, based in possibly one of the smallest buildings in the village. Over the course of seven years the customer demand for their warm welcome outgrew the tiny space and it was time to aim higher.

They are sure it was the fact they were serving freshly prepared wholesome food, yummy cakes and great coffee that helped!

 

Still located in Terling, the United Reformed Church (built circa 1700) has been transformed from a rather unloved empty shell into a stunning new tearoom - it really is everything, with a spectacular view of the village green thrown in for good measure.

 

The tearoom has a fantastic following with an abundance of loyal customers who make visiting them a feature of their week (or even day). The tearoom is also massively supported by the cycling community, local running clubs and many rambling groups from far and wide. It’s not just popular with humans either, dogs are very welcome, they even have their own pup cup menu and pup loyalty card.

 

The tearoom is a gathering place of choice for groups of families and friends, while also a perfect pit stop to re-fuel while exploring the area. In addition it doubles up as somewhere to ‘work’ while you enjoy your favourite treat or to just sit quietly to read a book over a cuppa.

 

A 5-star hygiene rating has been in place right from the start and the tearoom has been lucky enough to be nominated (and in some cases even won) awards for being the best in the region. There’s nothing better than knowing you will be visiting a tearoom that not only does a good job, but a GREAT job.
